November is designated as Veterans Remembrance Month. With Veterans Day approaching on November 11th, all lodges are encouraged to honor our veterans through meaningful initiatives. While many lodges currently host dinners or coordinate visits to VA hospitals and nursing facilities—efforts which are highly commendable—I challenge you to increase our collective focus on the "Welcome Home" kits program. Many of our lodges do not yet participate in this essential initiative, and we must remain vigilant in identifying veterans in need. Please consider visiting veterans in assisted living facilities, volunteering with our Elks representatives at VA hospitals, and contributing to our restricted veterans committee. This committee provides necessary furniture to veterans across Pennsylvania, and your support—whether through personal contributions or lodge donations to the Pennsylvania Elks veterans restricted account via our state office—is vital to sustaining these operations
